An inside source sent me some video of Luc Giolito throwing during one of his rehabs. Here is Giolito from 60 feet, and here he is from 220 feet.
As you can see, there’s plenty of zip, and while you can’t make too much from a throwing session, it is a very encouraging sign.

If he checks out healthy, I’d love to see the Cubs take him at #6…they don’t have anything like him in their system. But if he checks out healthy, I don’t think there’s any way he lasts that long.
I’ve heard rumors of signability questions, but I have to think top 8 or so money would be enough.
